ODM Senator Hezena Lemaletian Reacts to Reports That Suggested a Case She Had Against Her Ex-hubby Was Dropped

Nominated Senator Hezena Lemaletian has broken her silence and reacted to the news that emerged recently, that claimed that the case she had against her ex-husband Musa Hussein Lenyumpa had been dropped.

The unverified reports actually claimed that the case, which involved how the legislator had sued her ex-husband over harassment and abuse, had been dropped by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations due to lack of evidence.

According to Senator Hezena Lemaletian however, these reports are falsehoods because the case is still in court.

The nominated senator has actually claimed that her ex-husband Musa Hussein Lenyumpa may have been behind the false reports that had been posted by one Facebook account.

The ODM legislator feels like her ex-husband did this as a way of trying to divert attention from the matter she recently reported, of how she was receiving threats on her life.

"NO CASE HAS BEEN DROPPED

I have been made aware of a post in a local page called newsflash in Samburu. While I know this could potentially be a scheme to divert attention from the issue at hand following a report I made following a report I made on the threats posed against my life, I must make something clear. In the same breath, the timing needs to be investigated as the perpetrators could be joined at the hip.

It must be noted that it is illegal to publish lies and unverified information especially one that is related to a serious issue THAT IS STILL IN COURT..." she said.

Senator Hezena Lemaletian further vowed to take legal action against the admins of the Facebook page.

"I want to assure you that there are legal consequences of publishing completely false and defamatory allegations not only to the person of my character but to very big institutions that are mandated to protect the rule of law. I will take legal action against the admis of the page" Hon. Hezena Lemaletian wrote.
