Last Painful Request Rev Ndumia’s Daughter Made to Her Father Before He Died

The family of slain pastor Julius Ndumia continues to mourn following his tragic killing at his residence within the church compound in Lanet, Nakuru County.

The cleric, who served at PCEA Tabuga Parish, was reportedly attacked and killed by armed robbers in an incident that shocked worshippers, relatives and residents across the country.

He was laid to rest on Monday, May 11, in Tetu, Nyeri County, during an emotional burial ceremony attended by family members, friends, church leaders and mourners.

One of the most touching moments during the funeral came when his young daughter, Shanice, paid tribute to her father through a message read on her behalf.

In the emotional tribute, Shanice recalled the final days she spent with her father and revealed the painful request she made shortly before his death.

According to the message, the young girl had asked Rev Ndumia to stay home longer and spend more time with her because she enjoyed his company and presence.

She said she did not understand why he had to leave so soon and expressed sadness over the loss of the love, comfort and joy he brought into her life.

Shanice also shared that she had requested her father to remain with her for one more week, never imagining that the extra time she desired would become some of their final moments together.

During the tribute, she thanked her father for his care, affection and guidance, saying she would forever cherish the memories they created together.

The young girl remembered moments of laughter, storytelling and the warmth her father brought to the family, describing him as a loving and caring parent.

Despite her young age, Shanice expressed hope that her father’s love and memories would continue living in her heart forever.

Her tribute moved many mourners to tears, with several attendees struggling to hold back emotions as the message was read during the burial service.

Family members, church leaders and friends described Rev Ndumia as a committed servant of God who dedicated his life to ministry, mentorship and community service.

The pastor’s killing has continued to spark concern among members of the public, especially following reports that armed attackers targeted him at his residence inside the church compound.

Investigations into the murder are still ongoing, with police already arresting suspects linked to the case as detectives continue gathering evidence.

The incident has reignited debate over insecurity and violent attacks targeting religious leaders in different parts of the country.

Church leaders who attended the burial called for justice and urged authorities to ensure those responsible for the killing are held accountable.

Many mourners also used the occasion to appeal for improved security measures around churches and residential areas occupied by clergy members.

As the family continues coping with the painful loss, tributes and messages of condolence have continued pouring in from Kenyans touched by the pastor’s life and ministry.

For many who attended the burial, Shanice’s emotional words served as a heartbreaking reminder of the deep pain families endure after losing loved ones through violence and tragedy.
