“Ruto Has Betrayed Kenyans, Must Be Held to Account in 2027” – Muturi Declares in Kajiado Rally

Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has strongly criticized President William Ruto, accusing him of betraying Kenyans and committing what he described as crimes against the nation.

Speaking during a rally in Bisil, Kajiado County, Muturi said the country had reached a turning point and warned that Kenyans could not continue living under a government he claimed was built on corruption and false promises.

“This country cannot move forward unless we cleanse our leadership. Ruto and his regime have looted resources, betrayed citizens, and pushed people deeper into poverty,” Muturi declared.

The former CS, who has now become one of the fiercest critics of the Kenya Kwanza administration, said the President must be personally held responsible for the suffering that ordinary Kenyans are facing.

He claimed that high taxes, rising prices of basic goods, and alleged misuse of public funds were clear evidence of failed leadership.

Muturi further told residents that justice could only come if leaders who have abused their offices are forced to answer for their actions.

According to him, the fight against impunity begins at the very top, and that means holding President Ruto accountable.

He challenged Kenyans to prepare for the 2027 General Election by registering as voters, insisting that change could only be achieved through the ballot.

“The most powerful tool you have is your vote. If we want to save this country, everyone must register. Without voter registration, we cannot bring the change we desire,” he urged.

Muturi added that Kenyans must not lose hope despite the economic hardship, saying the 2027 elections would provide an opportunity to write a new chapter for the country.

“Together, we can reclaim Kenya from corruption and betrayal. 2027 is the year we begin a journey of accountability, justice, and prosperity,” he said, as the crowd cheered him on.

His remarks come at a time when voter registration numbers remain low, with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) urging young people to take part in the ongoing exercise.
Muturi’s hard-hitting speech has once again positioned him as a central voice in the opposition and a leading critic of the current administration as the country heads toward another heated political season.
