While speaking to a crowd, Kindiki made it clear that only God can decide who will lead Kenya after 2027.
Kindiki said he was not worried about political noise or early campaigns. Instead, he told leaders to focus on helping Kenyans by working hard and delivering development.
He said shouting slogans like “Ruto must go” or “one-term president” is not leadership, and it won’t improve the lives of ordinary people.
“If you have better ideas, bring them to the table. Don’t just chant and complain,” he told the opposition.
He praised the current government for improving roads, building markets, creating jobs, and constructing affordable houses for ordinary Kenyans.
The deputy president also sent a strong message to some leaders who he believes wasted their time while in office.
Although he didn’t mention names, many people believe he was referring to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who has recently been linked to the “one-term” campaign.
“If you wasted your time in office, that’s your problem. But don’t drag others into your failure. I must account for every day I serve,” Kindiki said.
He told Kenyans that leadership is not about shouting louder than others, but about service, action, and responsibility.
He said the Kenya Kwanza government was working quietly and effectively to improve the country, despite all the noise from political opponents.
On the topic of elections, Kindiki reminded everyone that only God knows the future.
“No one knows who will be president tomorrow. That is in God’s hands. We just need to do our job today,” he said.
His remarks come as political temperatures in the country continue to rise, with early talks about the 2027 elections.
However, Kindiki urged Kenyans to focus on development and not be distracted by endless politics.
