As seen by this writer, hundreds of people were at the ferry waiting to cross to the other side. However, the available ferries were not enough and this made the people to overload on a single ferry.
As seen on the video one of the ferries that was taking off carried excess people that some stood near the entrance which could not close properly.
Those on the shore could be heard shouting at them to not board the ferry since it was overloaded but they could not listen.
The incident has raised mixed reactions from Kenyans who have called on the government to act fast and provide a solution before a disaster strikes.
People on the internet said such overloads could easily result to bad accidents and lives could be lost.
