Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has revealed that there is an alleged plan to disrupt the upcoming ODM National Delegates Convention (NDC) linked to the Linda Mwananchi faction.
Speaking during a media interview, the lawmaker claimed that some individuals are planning to hire goons to interfere with their planned March 27 NDC.
However, he maintained that the attempt will not succeed, warning that any disruption will be met with equal resistance from their supporters.
Amisi further explained that their team has deliberately delayed unveiling key details about their political strategy to avoid sabotage from opponents.
The Saboti MP added that the group is carefully planning its next political move to avoid unnecessary pressure before the appropriate time.
Meanwhile, divisions within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) continue to widen as two parallel NDC meetings are expected. The convention associated with Edwin Sifuna is set to take place alongside another faction linked to ODM party leader Oburu Oginga.
Earlier, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino argued that failure by Sifuna to convene the NDC would compromise the party’s constitution and internal structure.
He maintained that without the convention, the legitimacy of several office holders within the party would be questionable, insisting that only Sifuna currently holds a legitimate position within the party leadership.
