Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has said he has forgiven leaders who have been attacking him, including Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Speaking at a rally, Kindiki said he will not fight them in the future because they are like his brothers and sisters.
“I have forgiven all leaders attacking me. I will never attack them in the future. They are my brothers and sisters,” Kindiki said. He added that politics comes and goes, but the people of Kenya will always remain connected.
Kindiki’s message comes as leaders and parties prepare for the 2027 elections.
He called on politicians to focus on unity instead of fighting each other. “The politics are theirs, and 2027 will come and go, yet the people will remain as brothers,” he said.
Many Kenyans are tired of constant fighting and personal attacks in politics. Kindiki’s call for forgiveness and peace was welcomed by those who want leaders to work together instead of hurting each other.
Experts say that Kenya has often seen leaders fight for political positions, sometimes forgetting the country comes first. Kindiki’s words show that it is possible for politicians to disagree but still respect each other.
As the 2027 elections approach, Kindiki wants leaders and citizens to remember that friendship and respect are more important than political rivalry.
