Wetangula, Esther Passaris Shows Off Their Dance Moves During Classroom Opening Ceremony In Makadara

Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetangula, officially On Friday, opened a new administration block and classrooms at Bidii Primary School in Makadara Constituency.

The project was made possible through the Passaris Foundation, led by Nairobi Woman Representative Hon. Esther Muthoni Passaris.

The event also marked the launch of a fundraising drive to support Phase Two of the project.

This next phase will see the construction of six additional classrooms aimed at easing congestion and improving the learning environment for the students.

Speaking during the ceremony, Wetangula praised the school’s leadership for maintaining high academic standards.

He commended their commitment to the school’s motto, “Better your best,” and encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence in their studies.

Several leaders joined the Speaker and Passaris during the event, including area MP Hon. George Aladwa, Hon. Antony Oluoch from Mathare, Hon. Beatrice Elachi from Dagoretti North, Hon. Didmus Barasa from Kimilili, Hon. Sabina Chege, and Senator Karen Nyamu.

Their presence highlighted the importance of collaboration in supporting education and community development.

The new facilities are expected to significantly enhance the learning experience at Bidii Primary School.

Teachers and students alike expressed excitement at the additional space, which will make classrooms less crowded and create a more conducive environment for learning.

Wetangula reiterated the importance of investing in education as a foundation for the country’s future.

“A good learning environment shapes good citizens,” he said, encouraging more leaders and organizations to support similar initiatives.

The Passaris Foundation’s ongoing efforts at Bidii Primary School reflect a growing commitment to improving educational infrastructure and ensuring that students have access to quality learning spaces.
