"Wanyonyi Attacked And Raped Me Before Threatening To Kill Me" Kiambu Woman Recounts

Residents of Limuru, Kiambu County, are breathing a cautious sigh of relief after police arrested Oscar Wanyonyi, a man linked to a series of attacks on young women in the area.

The suspect allegedly lured victims through social media, robbed, and sexually assaulted them, causing widespread fear in the community.

One victim recounted the horrifying ordeal she endured.

She explained that she agreed to meet Wanyonyi on Waiyaki Way, where he suggested taking a motorbike to his place.

She lost consciousness and later woke up in a bush.

Another woman said he struck her with a rod, ordered her to remove her clothes, raped her and threatened to kill her if she did not obey.

She said she had no option but to submit.

According to KTN News, Wanyonyi used multiple online identities to gain the trust of his victims before luring them to isolated locations.

So far, ten women have recorded statements at Tigoni Police Station, and officers are urging anyone else affected to come forward.

Police say the arrest followed weeks of tracing digital footprints and reviewing testimonies, which revealed a clear pattern of deception and violence.

Disturbingly, Wanyonyi is reported to have faced similar allegations earlier this year but was released by the courts in September.

Community members have expressed relief at the arrest but also concern about how he evaded justice for so long.

Authorities continue investigating the case, emphasising online safety and vigilance.

Victims, still recovering from deep emotional and psychological trauma, hope this time the justice system will ensure that Wanyonyi faces full accountability for his crimes.
