Concern As Tanzania Police Arrest Kenyan Businesswoman, Son Alleges Reason, Last Communication

A family from Rombo, Kajiado, is seeking government help to locate their kin, Margaret Kanai, allegedly detained by Tanzanian police.

Margaret, a businesswoman, was arrested during post-election violence in Tanzania.

Her son Moses Kanai, who was also arrested, revealed he was beaten and accused of involvement in the violence but managed to escape.

Moses recounted that his mother called him, saying her life was in danger and she was being traced by unknown individuals.

He fears for her safety and is seeking help from President William Ruto's administration to locate her.

Moses also highlighted the plituation of other Kenyans allegedly being held in Ugandan prisons, claiming they are being tortured.

He is urging the government to intervene and secure their release. The family is anxiously awaiting news on Margaret's whereabouts, hoping for a swift resolution to their ordeal.

The government has been called upon to provide assistance in tracing Margaret and ensuring her safe return.
