Hon. George Kaluma has strongly criticized Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, over his claims of being the leading political figure in the Mt. Kenya region.
Speaking on recent political developments, Kaluma accused Gachagua of repeatedly misleading Kenyans about his influence and role in regional politics.
According to Kaluma, the true test of leadership is measured not by empty rhetoric but by tangible results in the political arena.
“Gachagua kept lying to Kenyans that he is the kingpin of Mt. Kenya,” Kaluma said, highlighting what he perceives as a disconnect between claims and actual achievements.
Kaluma pointed to the recent success of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki in Mbeere North as evidence that leadership effectiveness cannot be fabricated.
He noted that Kindiki, representing the Broad-Based Government, achieved a decisive victory in the constituency, demonstrating real political influence and organizational strength.
“The Broad-Based Government Deputy President DPKindiki has wiped the floor in Mbeere North with his baggy trousers!” Kaluma remarked, emphasizing the scale of Kindiki’s triumph.
He added that the outcome exposed the fragility of claims based purely on image or rhetoric.
Kaluma concluded with a colorful metaphor, suggesting that those who overstate their political power are often humbled when confronted with actual results.
“He is now crying like the small rat he is! Fire si Fire!” Kaluma said, underscoring his point that genuine leadership is proven through action, not empty words.
This statement comes amid heightened political competition in Mt. Kenya, reflecting the shifting dynamics within regional and national politics.
