New Details Emerge on What's Going on With Raila Odinga's Life after Absence from Public Eye

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s absence from the public eye for nearly two weeks has sparked growing speculation about his health, despite assurances from his close associates that he is well.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader has been noticeably missing from public events, even as the party gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Raila’s last significant appearance was on Monday, September 22, at the Argyle Grand Hotel, where he attended a meeting of the ODM Parliamentary Group.

Since then, questions have emerged regarding his whereabouts and well-being.

Reports suggest that Raila, 80, had recently travelled overseas for medical care and was later admitted to The Nairobi Hospital, where doctors allegedly advised him to scale back his political engagements.

However, his close allies have strongly denied the claims. National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed insisted Raila was in good health, saying he had personally spoken with him.

“He is at the gym. How can you say he is unwell?” Junet retorted, dismissing reports of illness.

Raila remains one of Kenya’s most influential political figures, and his absence during such a symbolic period for ODM has fueled curiosity and concern across the political landscape.
