Top Lawyer Who Supported Ruto in 2022 Now Makes U-turn, Makes Interesting Claim

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has joined the list of prominent people making u-turn on president William Ruto's government after supporting his 2022 bid.

In a tweet on Friday, he termed Ruto's government a failure, saying that for this reason, the President and his administration are fast losing popularity.

He said that Ruto has been unable to keep his campaign promises, and is postponing things he should do now for tomorrow.

The lawyer has also dismissed Ruto's government as corrupt, in addition to inability to offer better governance, making Kenyans have second thoughts.

"Fixing Kenya's governance deficit (ie broken law and order, corrupt judiciary, thieving governors, rags to rich state corporations employees, dead parliament...et al), stopping new corruption in H.E Ruto's government and addressing Uhuru era grand corruption (4 dollar billionaires et al) are more urgent and consequential national imperatives than stabilising the economy," he says.

He has told Ruto that Kenyans are not having doubts because of the bad economy but his refusal to do what he promised them while seeking the top seat.

"The palpable unpopularity of Ruto's regime isn't because fuel is expensive or we have periodic power blackouts, or unga is expensive. Ruto's government faces strong headwinds because the reforms and new governance initiatives UDA promised Kenyans have been thrown out of the window," he says.
