"You and Your Babu Will Fail Miserably" Alai Warns Pauline Njoroge After Attending Sifuna's Event

Digital strategist and political commentator Robert Alai has issued a stern warning to Pauline Njoroge following her participation in a Linda Mwananchi rally in Narok on March 22, 2026.

In a direct social media response, Alai told Njoroge that she and "your Babu" would miserably fail in their efforts, advising her to leave the group immediately. He described those involved as fools who could not lead her anywhere worthwhile.

The remark targeted Njoroge's alignment with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino during the event. Njoroge, a Jubilee Party deputy organising secretary and Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant for 2027, attended the rally organized by the Sifuna-led faction of the Orange Democratic Movement.

She was seen speaking ahead of the gathering and joining leaders for activities, including a visit to the Narok ODM party chairman where they shared a meal.

Earlier in the day, Njoroge posted a biblical verse from Proverbs 29:2 on her account, stating that people rejoice when the righteous are in authority but mourn under wicked rule. The post, accompanied by a video, appeared to critique current leadership and garnered significant engagement.

The Narok rally faced disruption when police used tear gas on the crowd, an incident that drew condemnation from figures like Siaya Governor James Orengo.

Despite the challenges, including heavy rain, supporters remained resilient, with Sifuna and Owino calming the gathering.

Alai's warning reflects ongoing tensions within Kenya's political circles, particularly among those associated with different factions and allegiances.

Njoroge's involvement with the Linda Mwananchi brigade, which has been critical of certain government policies and party directions, has sparked debate about her shifting political stance.

Observers note that such public exchanges highlight divisions ahead of future electoral contests, as personalities navigate alliances and rivalries in a fluid landscape.
