"I Don't Fear Ruto, But He Has My Respect" Justin Muturi Drop Message That Has Sparked Mixed Reactions Ahead of 2027

Former Attorney General and senior opposition figure Hon. Justin Muturi has made a bold declaration regarding his relationship with President William Ruto, stating that he holds no fear toward the head of state.

In an afternoon video message posted on February 4, 2026, Muturi addressed the president directly, emphasizing that both are ordinary human beings.

He asserted that Ruto is fully aware of who he is and understands his background well. Muturi stressed that he has no personal issues or grudges against Ruto, describing any perceived challenge as minor and insignificant.

The core of his message focused on what he called Ruto's greatest fear: the moment when Muturi speaks out or engages in political activity.

Muturi claimed that Ruto's biggest concern arises whenever he opens his mouth, as it reveals truths that appear to come from a higher authority, as if endorsed by God himself. He described this as something unavoidable and beyond his control, a reality he will not shy away from or withhold.

The remarks, delivered from a studio setting with a microphone setup, come amid heightened political tensions in Kenya. Muturi, now aligned with opposition efforts including the Democracy for Citizens Party and broader anti-government coalitions, has been vocal in recent weeks.

His previous statements have criticized Ruto's leadership, warned of protests and legal action if opposition figures are targeted, and predicted an inevitable exit from power for the president through democratic means.

This latest post, accompanied by a 2-minute-22-second clip that garnered notable engagement, underscores Muturi's unapologetic stance as opposition voices intensify preparations for future electoral battles. It highlights ongoing friction between former allies turned critics in Kenya's shifting political landscape.
