Speaking to Pulse News, the woman shared how she had opened her doors and heart to her sister out of love and compassion.
She explained that she brought her sister from their rural home last year to live with them in Nairobi so she could learn computer skills and help around the house while waiting to join campus.
“I thought I was doing something good for her. I paid her school fees and wanted her to have a better future,” she said.
The woman, who operates a small shop in Roysambu while her husband works as a teacher, said everything appeared normal until recently when she accidentally came across shocking messages on her sister’s phone.
“My phone had gone off because there was no electricity, so I borrowed hers to make a quick call to a client,” she narrated.
“That’s when I saw messages between her and my husband — romantic words, photos, and even private pictures. My heart sank.”
According to her, the messages revealed that the two had been meeting secretly whenever she was busy at work.
The discovery left her devastated, especially because she had trusted both of them completely.
“I couldn’t believe it. The two people I loved and trusted most betrayed me under my own roof,” she said tearfully.
The woman said she is still struggling to process the betrayal and is unsure of what to do next.
“I’ve been thinking of sending my sister back home and taking some time away from my husband,” she added.
