The MP, Bensouda, told Gachagua to stop spreading rumours about the health of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The lawmaker's comments were direct and forceful. He stated that Raila Odinga is not in Gachagua's class.
He ordered the former Deputy President to keep his mouth shut. He further warned that if Gachagua did not stop, they would deal with him.
This outburst comes amid ongoing speculation about Raila Odinga's health and whereabouts.
Reports had been circulating that the ODM leader was hospitalised. However, Raila's office has since denied these claims.
In an official statement, the Orange Democratic Movement clarified that their party leader is not ill.
They confirmed that Raila Odinga travelled out of the country on Friday. But they insisted he did not go to Europe for medical treatment.
The party accused Gachagua and his political allies of starting the false rumours. They labelled it a familiar campaign of misinformation for political gain.
The ODM secretariat also criticised some media houses for broadcasting unverified reports from bloggers.
