Former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has been revealed to be on a new purge and determined to prevent Azimio's leader—who also leads the ODM—from holding the much-discussed meeting with President William Ruto.
Their newfound camaraderie is said to be the reason for the former prime minister's current lack of a strong position against the administration.
According to close colleagues of the previous head of state, Mr. Kenyatta is against Mr. Odinga being appointed African Union Commissioner because it would place him in close proximity to the current head of state and make ODM party supporters more accepting of President William Samoei Ruto.
Sources claim that Uhuru Kenyatta has repeatedly told Raila Odinga that he is working to organize Central Kenya in preparation for his 2027 or earlier ascension to the presidency.
It has now come to light that Raila Odinga asked former President Uhuru Kenyatta for at least two invitations to meetings.
Due to likely intelligence reports, the high-level talks were conducted outside the nation to prevent the head of state from traveling.
