Opposition Storms Machakos in Style as 2027 Campaigns Kick Off, Gachagua Sounds Alarm (PHOTOS)

The opposition team, led by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua, has officially kicked off its 2027 general election campaign.

Led by Kalonzo, the opposition on Friday stormed Matuu in Machakos county with 2027 campaigns making the headlines. The two leaders were accompanied by other opposition allied leaders including former CS Justin Muturi, Eugene Wamalwa and many other MPs,

Speaking at Matuu, Gachagua said they had agreed to campaign tgether untill the time they will officially nominate a candidate to face Ruto.

"Sisi wote tumeketi na kukubaliana kwamba sisi ni kitu kimoja, tumeanza safari na nataka kuwaomba mtupatie huyu kiongozi Kalonzo tutatfte serikali pamoja. Sisis hatuwezi fanyia yeye madharau na tunataka kuwaambia mchague watu kwa chama cha Wiper ndio akikuja tukae chini nae apate nguvu ya kutetea wakamba. Mkimheshimu na mmshikilie nyumbani atafaulu. Sisi huko mlimani tuko na chama yetu ya DCP," declared Gachagua

We cannot disrespect him, and we want to tell you to elect people through the Wiper party so that when he comes, we can sit with him and he has the strength to defend the Kamba people. Rigathi at the same time, bashed at Ruto, saying they have an agenda and that the agenda is to make Ruto a one term president. He challenged the youths (Gen Z) to take votes, saying they are the ones who are going to kick Ruto out of office in 2027.

He urged Machakos residents to come out and welcome Ruto when he tours the region, claimung that Ruto will be taking bags of money to Eastern and that they should come out to eat the said money.

"Mmeskia kasongo anakuja hapa kutembea? si mnajua anatembea na pesa kwa ghunia? mimi nataka kuchanua nyinyi, alikuja pale mlimani nikasema ndovu hatazikwa pamoja na pesa. Sasa kama vile tulimfanya huko mlimani, nataka mjitokeze mkule pesa kwa sababu anakuja kuuzia nyinyi uongo. Msitoke nyumbani bila shilingi elfu mbili. Akitaka apigiwe makofi aongeze shilingi elfu moja," added Gachagua
