Analyst Alleges Where Ruto Is Running to After Realizing Raila & Luos Can't Replace Mt Kenya In 2027

According to political analyst Arnold Maliba, President William Ruto is facing one of the hardest moment in his political career.

Despite winning 2022 general elections on Hustler movement, things have changed in recent months after the emergence of Generation Z protests, onslaught of Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and negativity towards security agencies.

Speaking on Tuesday, 22 July, 2025, Mr Maliba noted that President William Ruto is beyond saving, and securing second term is out of reach.

"I do not think there is any way of salvaging President Ruto's second term. Even the dialogue doesn't matter." he said on K24 TV .

In addition, he opined that at the moment, president William Ruto is fumbling to replace Mount Kenya region where he got over 3 million votes in the last elections.

Despite forming broad-based government with Raila Odinga, Mr Maliba argued that President Ruto still does not believe if the Luos can replace Mount Kenya region, and therefore the Head of State is making en route to Western region, which also appears to been lost to opposition already.

"The President is looking for a bloc that can replace the Mt. Kenya bloc. He got substantive numbers there, almost 4 million votes. Of course, Nyanza can not get you that replacement because of the numbers. The closest bloc that can replace Mt. Kenya is Western Kenya, but on that front, the President has lost it." he posed.

He blamed the president and his Kenya Kwanza men are rigid, and do not want to listen to any advice.

Noting that it is either their way or the highway, and the highway here has been to Silence the Gen Zs with bullets and calling people terrorists.

"The administration doesn't want to face the people and the issues as they are. They said this was foreign-funded; they talked about Ford Foundation. Then the President blamed bad parenting. He is telling people, chungeni watoto wako amatuwaue. They are now calling them anarchists." he added.
