The race to find the next member of parliament to take the place of the former law Maker Sir Charles Ongondo Were gains momentum today as a renown politician and businessman Hon.
Aroko Nashon Philip has reported dump the ODM party of the former prime minister Raila Odinga and has decided to go independent.
The Kasipul seat fell vacant after the killing of the incumbent Ongondo Were who was killed in nairobi county. Upto now, the seat has attracted so many caniddates including Ongondo Were's son Boyd Were among other key leaders.
The ODM party nominations had attracted Hon Philip Aroko, businessman Kepha Ogada, radio presenter Ajo Mbuta and Boyd Were among other key candidates.
But today, business man Philip Aroko has pulled out of the ODM party and has decided to go independent way.
"Otete" he posted signaling his independent symbol that he will use in the upcoming by election that is slotted for November 27th 2025.
So far,independent candidates in Kasipul by elections are two including the son to the former Council of Luo chairman (president) Meshak Riaga Ogalo Hon Money Bior among others.
