Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has expressed amazement at the rate at which his peers are acquiring choppers.
The MP says his colleagues are going for the aircraft, at a rate that is hard for him to understand, given the current economic hardships in the country.
He has said that this is an indication that the economy is only affecting a section of Kenyans, stating that for the others, it seems to not be an issue.
"The rate at which the current political class - my peers - are buying choppers - Wueh! This economy is doing very well for some of us!" he says on X.
This comes at a time when things are becoming increasingly tough for Kenyans, thanks to a weakening shilling and increasing prices of basic commodities.
The blame has been heaped on President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza government, who are accused of doing close to nothing to better things.
But Ruto and those close to him are in turn blaming former President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee government, accusing it of among others, taking too much debt.
He is, as a result, yet to better things as he promised in his campaigns.
