"2027 Will Decide, Not 2032” Fireworks During Interview As Nyutu Warns Sossion

Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu has taken a direct swipe at former KNUT boss Wilson Sossion, cautioning him against making bold predictions about the future of Kenya’s presidency.

Speaking during a political gathering, Nyutu said it was misleading for anyone to declare that President William Ruto will hold power until 2032 without considering the political reality of the 2027 general election.

Nyutu argued that elections are unpredictable, and the will of the people remains the only true decider of Kenya’s leadership.

According to him, dismissing the 2027 contest as if it were a formality is not only naive but also disrespectful to the democratic process.

“There is an election in 2027,” Nyutu said firmly, addressing Sossion. “You can only be naive to claim that someone will automatically rule until 2032.

The dust you will face then will open your eyes and bring back your sobriety.”

His remarks come at a time when political realignments are already shaping the road to 2027.

With rising economic challenges, heated debates over governance, and growing opposition criticism, Nyutu believes it is premature to assume the outcome of an election still two years away.

The senator emphasized that Kenyans are the ultimate judges and their votes cannot be taken for granted.

He warned political figures against spreading what he termed as “false confidence” that could blind them to the reality on the ground.
