Former Gatanda MP Peter Kenneth finally breaks silence on the fallout between president William Ruto and Mt Kenya voters.
Kenneth has been keeping off public space since the 2022 Azimio election loss to UDA and has not announced his stance with the current political alignments that have shifted since then.
The former presidential hopeful says he will just keep watching as the people of Mt Kenya regret voting for Ruto in the hotly contested 2022 polls.
He says the Mt Kenya people defied him when he warned them against voting for Ruto.
Kenneth was one of the key Mt Kenya leaders who were helping the late Raila Odinga climb the mountain in hunt of votes. They were however outsmarted by Ruto and his UDA brigade in the vote rich region.
The Mt Kenya votes play a big role in Ruto's victory since they gave the head of state 47% of his Total votes.
This made him beat Odinga who won in majority of the regions in the country.
