I studied hard and earned a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Makerere University. Like many students, I had big dreams.
I believed that after graduation, I would secure a good job in media, build my career, and support my family comfortably.
However, things did not go as I expected. After completing my studies, I spent months applying for jobs. I attended interviews, sent applications, and followed up many times, but nothing worked out.
As time went on, the pressure increased. I had bills to pay and responsibilities to handle. With no options left, I accepted a job as a road cleaner in Kampala just to survive. It was not what I studied for, and deep down, it affected my confidence and self-worth.
