A cloud of grief and shock hangs over the Bondeni area of Nakuru Town East after a man allegedly used deceit to take his 4-year-old son from school — only to poison and kill him before taking his own life.

The disturbing incident has left residents shaken, sparking intense discussions about mental health, toxic relationships, and the rising cases of family-related killings.

The suspect, identified as George Nthenge, reportedly lied to his son’s school about a family emergency in order to take the child home.

According to police reports, Nthenge was not the one who usually picked the child up from school.
