Speaking on Tuesday during the United Opposition rally in Ukambani, Gachagua told supporters that the only way to remove President William Ruto from power is by registering as voters and turning up in large numbers on election day.
In his remarks, Gachagua emphasized the importance of voting early, even suggesting that supporters should wake up as early as 1am to be ready.
“If you want change, you must be prepared. Wake up early and go vote. Waiting until 6am is already too late,” he said, drawing cheers and reactions from the crowd.
The rally attracted thousands of supporters and brought together several top opposition leaders, including Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, Fred Matiangi, and Justin Muturi.
The leaders are currently touring the Ukambani region as part of efforts to strengthen their support base ahead of 2027.
Gachagua’s comments highlight the growing political tension as the country slowly shifts focus toward the next general election.
His call for early voter participation reflects the opposition’s strategy to mobilize supporters and ensure a high turnout.
However, election officials have previously maintained that voting starts at 6am across the country, and voters are encouraged to follow official timelines set by the electoral body.
