Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Chairperson Governor Gladys Wanga has threatened to lead protests demanding the arrest of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Speaking on March 20, the Governor said she had quit protests after the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga joined the broad-based government.

She explained that she is thinking about going back to the streets to demand the arrest of Rigathi.

"I had stopped protests after the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga brought us into the broad-based government.

I'm thinking about going back to the streets to demand the arrest of people who have been impregnating and killing women," Governor Wanga said.

The Governor spoke days after President Ruto accused his former deputy of killing an expectant woman who died under unclear circumstances.

She was backed by Health CS Aden Duale, who urged Rigathi to speak up.

In a fiery speech, President Ruto criticized Rigathi for accusing him of killing young people during the protests against the proposed 2024 finance bill.

He alleged that Rigathi murdered an expectant woman and even went ahead and altered the will of his brother, the late former Governor Nderitu Gachagua.
