Kindiki Bursts Into Laughter After Wiper MP Throws Away Party-Branded Cap During His Rally

There was a light moment in Taita Taveta on Tuesday during a rally led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki in Wundanyi Constituency.

The incident occurred after Kindiki introduced Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako, a Wiper allied MP, who had attended his rally.

While speaking, Kindiki openly wooed the MP to ditch the opposition and join the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

The Deputy President praised Mwashako’s leadership and suggested that he would be better placed working with the government.

Moments later, a section of leaders present at the rally attempted to crown the MP with a UDA-branded cap in a symbolic gesture of welcoming him to the ruling party.

However, in a dramatic twist, Mwashako quickly removed the cap and threw it away, signaling his rejection of the move.

The action sparked laughter among leaders and supporters, with Kindiki himself bursting into laughter as the crowd reacted to the unexpected moment.

Despite the humorous turn of events, the Deputy President persisted in his attempts to persuade the MP to consider working with the government.

Kindiki further remarked that they could not allow the Wundanyi legislator to associate with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, in what appeared to be a political jab.
