“Hatapata Kura” Meru Crowd Tells Kindiki to Forgive Gachagua for Insulting Him

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Monday held a rally in Meru County where he drummed up support for President William Ruto and his administration’s development agenda.

Speaking during the meeting, Kindiki called out opposition leaders led by DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua, accusing them of engaging in divisive and abusive politics instead of focusing on issues affecting wananchi.

He maintained that the government is prioritizing development projects across the country rather than engaging in early campaign politics.

He further stated that the Mt Kenya region is known for respectful politics and does not support the culture of insulting leaders while seeking votes. According to Kindiki, the region values unity and development-driven leadership.

At one point, members of the crowd urged the Deputy President to forgive those who have been insulting him. Kindiki agreed with the call for forgiveness but maintained that such leaders shouldn't get votes from the region.

He was accompanied by Meru Governor Isaac Mutuma, Deputy Governor Linda Kiome, Woman Representative Elizabeth Kailemia, MPs Rahim Dawood, Mpuru Aburi, Dan Kiili, Dorothy Muthoni, MCAs and other local leaders.
