"A Whole MP Posting AI Photos, You Should Be Ashamed" Kenyans Roast Vocal ODM MP After Posting This Photo

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi sparked widespread mockery online after sharing a nighttime photo of a large crocodile partially submerged in muddy floodwaters, claiming the reptile had appeared in Singapore.

In his post, Amisi referenced Raila Odinga, popularly known as Baba, who had previously warned about crocodiles in political contexts, and declared that the dangers were now present even in the Southeast Asian city-state. He concluded by calling for a renaissance in Kenya.

The image shows a crocodile floating amid brown water near informal settlements and buildings under dim streetlights, evoking scenes of flooding in Kenyan urban areas rather than Singapore's well-maintained infrastructure.

Many Kenyans quickly pointed out the mismatch, accusing the MP of using an AI-generated or edited photo to make a satirical point about leadership failures or misplaced ambitions.

Critics flooded the comments with remarks like "A whole MP posting AI photos, you should be ashamed," highlighting the perceived dishonesty and urging him to focus on constituency issues instead of dramatic online posts.

Amisi has often drawn comparisons between Kenya and developed nations like Singapore, emphasizing the need for better governance, hard work from leaders, and systemic change to achieve similar progress.

His recent posts, including one about landing in Singapore and questioning whether to proceed to "Canaan," appear part of a broader commentary on national direction and political journeys.

The crocodile imagery seems intended as a metaphor for hidden dangers or obstacles in pursuing excellence.

However, the backlash underscores growing frustration with politicians using social media for attention-grabbing content that lacks authenticity. Netizens argued that such antics distract from real problems like infrastructure decay, corruption, and economic challenges at home.

As an ODM-affiliated MP known for vocal critiques, Amisi's post has amplified debates about credibility in public discourse ahead of future elections.

While some defended it as creative expression, the majority reaction labeled it embarrassing and called for greater responsibility from elected officials.
