The news was confirmed by former Deputy President of Kenya, Rigathi Gachagua, who took to social media platforms to welcome the MP to his party.
He shared several photos of the MP wearing a cap with DCP initials.
Ngunjiri Wambugu, who took to Facebook to react, asked the MP if he knows what the former Deputy President of Kenya thinks about him. Mr. Wambugu also slammed Rigathi for allegedly plotting to destroy Jubilee ahead of the upcoming General Elections in Kenya.
He called on former President Uhuru Kenyatta to take action as soon as possible, stating that Rigathi is using Jubilee's influence to make his party popular in Mount Kenya.
Meanwhile, Wiper Patriotic Front Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has brokered a handshake between the former President and Rigathi.
According to reports, the planned handshake was brokered in the presence of former Nigerian president Obasanjo during a meeting held in Nigeria.
