Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has signaled a softer approach toward Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino. This comes after a meeting with Luo community elders from Nairobi County on Tuesday, February 17.
Mbadi said he is ready to listen to the two leaders and understand why they have taken a different path from their party, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). The two have consistently opposed ODM’s engagement with President William Ruto and his party.
The CS emphasized the need for clarity, asking Sifuna and Babu to explain their position. He noted that Kenya’s political landscape largely revolves around two main groupings.
Miano came second with 76 per cent for her role in revitalising the tourism sector.
Her ministry has focused on aggressive destination marketing, investor confidence in hospitality infrastructure and stronger collaboration between national and county governments.
The efforts have boosted tourist arrivals, foreign exchange earnings and employment within the hospitality industry.
In third place is William Kabogo with 74 per cent. He has been recognised for advancing Kenya’s digital transformation agenda, including expanding broadband connectivity and integrating digital government services.
Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya ranked fourth with 70 per cent, praised for maintaining military preparedness and supporting regional peacekeeping efforts.
Other Cabinet Secretaries featured in the top ten include Opiyo Wandayi, Mutahi Kagwe, Salim Mvurya, Kipchumba Murkomen, Eric Muuga and John Mbadi, recognised for their contributions in energy, agriculture, sports, internal security, water and sanitation, and national treasury respectively.
The survey concludes that measurable results and consistent leadership remain key indicators of public confidence in government performance.
