Odinga has expressed her reservation about the party backing Ruto's 2027 reelection bid, until the laid down conditions are looked into.
She has referred to the 10-point agenda agreed on between Ruto and the late Raila Odinga, saying it should be fully addressed before the ongoing negotiation talks proceed.
According to Odinga, sister to Raila, the government should come clean on the progress of the implementation of the same first.
“We must pursue the 10-point agenda, which includes the implementation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) Report," she said on Tuesday as reported by People Daily.
It's worth noting that on Electoral Justice, the Report proposed a 9-member panel to reconstitute the IEBC, which has since been achieved.
However, there has not been an audit of the 2022 presidential election as was agreed between Ruto and Raila.
Odinga further bashed people within the party calling for the removal of those questioning the UDA-ODM alliance, stressing the need for divergent views to be embraced.
At the same time, she dismissed those claiming Raila told them before his demise he wanted ODM to support Ruto in 2027, maintaining that her brother was not a gossiper.
This now leaves ODM party leader Oburu Oginga as the only top member of the Oginga family supporting the alliance, given EALA MP Winnie Odinga, Raila's daughter, is among those opposed to ODM working with Ruto.
The wrangles began after Raila's death in October last year, with the emergence of the two warring factions now threatening to destabilise the party.
