Students arriving for lessons were met with a horrifying scene — the lifeless body of an unidentified man lying inside one of their classrooms.
According to local sources, the students immediately ran to alert their teachers, who quickly informed the police.
Officers from the Weija District Police arrived within minutes, cordoned off the area, and began initial investigations.
Learning was suspended for the rest of the day as the school management worked closely with authorities to handle the situation.
Police later moved the body to the Police Hospital morgue in Accra for autopsy.
At the time of this report, the identity of the deceased man and the cause of death remain unknown.
However, investigators say they are treating the matter as suspicious and have begun interviewing nearby residents for possible leads.
One teacher, who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity, said the discovery left both staff and students deeply disturbed.
“It’s something none of us expected. The students are traumatized. We hope the authorities will tell us what really happened soon,” the teacher said.
Some residents believe the school compound may have been accessed by unknown people at night, calling for improved security and proper fencing of the facility.
In a separate but related incident in Apowa, located in the Western Region, two unidentified male bodies were also found dumped near a church.
Locals reported a strong stench in the area before the bodies were discovered. Authorities suspect foul play, as one of the victims had visible injuries. Investigations into that case are also ongoing.
The recent discoveries have sparked discussions on public safety and the increasing number of mysterious deaths reported in different parts of the country.
Many citizens have urged the government and local leaders to enhance security patrols, especially around schools and public institutions, to prevent similar incidents.
Police have assured the public that a full report will be released once the investigations are completed.
