Plans Already In Place As Source Reveals What Uhuru Plans to Do to Matiang'i & Azimio At Jubilee NDC

Taifa Leo has established that Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is weighing the possibility of handing the leadership of Jubilee party to former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i as part of preparations for the 2027 General Election.

The publication noted that the plan is already being crafted and is set to be unveiled at the party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) on September 26, 2025.

It is at this conference where members will deliberate and decide whether Dr. Matiang’i will be given Jubilee’s leadership and announced as its presidential candidate for the upcoming general election.

It has also emerged that during the conference, Jubilee party under the leadership of Uhuru Kenyatta will consider exiting the Azimio la Umoja coalition in totality after failing to capture power in 2022 elections.

The sources close to Jubilee, alleges that this follows the decision of Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga, who was supported in 2022 by affiliate parties including Jubilee, crossed to the side and started to work with the Kenya Kwanza government.
