"Mtoto Wangu...": Painful Last Words Rose Muthoni Told Husband After He Stabbed Her For Coming Home From Work Late

A tragic incident in Juja, Kiambu County, has left residents in shock after a woman was allegedly killed by her husband in their home

The family’s househelp, Tracy, who witnessed the ordeal, has shared heartbreaking details, including the victim’s final words before she died.

According to Tracy, the day began normally, but her employer’s husband returned home earlier than usual. She noticed his unusual behavior as he spent hours on the phone and later watched a violent movie.

“He even remarked that bad-hearted people deserve to die like the character in the film,” Tracy recalled.

Later in the evening, he video-called his wife, Rose Muthoni, and asked her to return home early, claiming their baby was sick. Rose, who had a busy day at work, promised to come later.

When she eventually arrived, she appeared unwell and went to prepare coffee.

As she looked for a knife in the kitchen, her husband reportedly tossed one on the floor, moments before the shocking attack.

Tracy said she heard screams from the kitchen and rushed in, only to find Rose on the ground, bleeding after being stabbed in the chest.

“She cried for help, telling me, ‘You should have let me raise my child. Auntie, you have really helped me, please take care of my baby,’” the shaken househelp narrated.

In a desperate attempt to save her employer, Tracy tried to push the man away but narrowly escaped death herself. He allegedly slashed her hand and tore her dress before she managed to run to safety.

Rose’s last words have since haunted Tracy, who has vowed to keep her promise of caring for the child left behind.

The incident has drawn strong reactions online, with many Kenyans hailing Tracy as a hero for risking her life. Others expressed sorrow that a young mother’s life ended so brutally, leaving her baby without a mother’s care.

Local leaders and activists have condemned the killing, urging couples to resolve conflicts peacefully and calling for swift justice. Police have since taken the suspect into custody as investigations continue.
