Mr Ruto Prepare To Pack, In a Democracy if You Lose After One Term You Go Home - Kalonzo

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has sent a bold and direct message to President William Ruto, telling him to “prepare to pack” if he fails to secure a second term in 2027.

Speaking during a public rally in Makueni County on Sunday, Kalonzo emphasized that democracy thrives on accountability and respect for the will of the people.

“Mr Ruto, prepare to pack. In a democracy, if you lose after one term, you must go home,” Kalonzo declared amid loud cheers from his supporters.

His remarks come at a time when opposition leaders are uniting under a new grand coalition to challenge the Kenya Kwanza administration ahead of the next general election.

Kalonzo stated that no leader, regardless of power or resources, should cling to office when the people have decided otherwise.

He reminded Kenyans that their vote is their ultimate weapon to shape the future of the country and urged them to register massively and be ready to defend their choices at the ballot.

The former Vice President also accused President Ruto’s government of ignoring the economic struggles facing ordinary Kenyans.

He cited the rising cost of living, high fuel prices, and continued taxation as clear signs that the current administration is out of touch with the people’s needs.

“People are suffering while the government is busy politicking and consolidating power. That is not the Kenya we want. We want a leadership that listens and acts for the benefit of every mwananchi,” Kalonzo added.

Kalonzo further dismissed any fears that his statement implied a push for unconstitutional means to remove the president.

He insisted that his message was purely democratic, calling on Kenyans to prepare for a fair, free, and transparent election in 2027.

He also took the opportunity to urge other opposition leaders to set aside their differences and form a united front to ensure a smooth transition.

“This is not about me, it is about Kenya. We must put our country first,” he said.
