Eyewitnesses Claim Who is Transporting Food Supply to Jubaland Forces Alleged to Be in Mandera

Concerns are rising in Mandera County after reports indicated that Jubaland forces have taken over farmland in the region, forcing several farmers to vacate their land to make way for soldiers.

As reported by People Daily, Residents allege that the movement of these troops has backing from Kenyan security forces, sparking debate about Kenya’s role in the ongoing tensions along the Kenya-Somalia border.

Eyewitnesses claim that Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) vehicles have been sighted delivering food supplies and other equipment to areas now controlled by the Jubaland fighters. These claims have fueled speculation about the extent of KDF’s logistical support for the group.

KDF has long been considered an ally of Jubaland forces in their shared battle against al-Shabaab. However, local sources reveal that Jubaland fighters are blending into farms, using the cover of crops to conceal their positions.

Reports further indicate that they have been advancing stealthily at night, with movements spotted towards BP1 Primary School during the night raising alarm among residents.
