Kindiki was speaking in Meru County during an economic empowerment forum in South Imenti.
He criticized leaders who, according to him, had held influential offices before but failed to push for projects that mattered to the region.
Now, he said, the same figures are moving around urging people to reject the government.
“When they had the chance, they did not fight for development here.
Today, they come back with lectures, asking you to abandon the President.
That is not leadership. We must stand with those who are building, not those who only talk,” he told the crowd.
The DP listed several projects that he said prove President William Ruto’s commitment to Mt. Kenya.
Among them is the ongoing work to upgrade Meru Referral Hospital to Level 6, ensuring advanced medical services for residents.
He also pointed to the Sh800 million Gakoromone market in Meru town, which is set to be the largest of its kind in Kenya.
Other major developments include the redesign of the Nithi Bridge at a cost of Sh8 billion, the completion of the Nkubu-Uruku Road that had stalled for years, and the elevation of Mitunguu National Polytechnic.
Plans are also underway for a new airport in South Imenti to boost local trade and transport.
Kindiki said these projects reflect the administration’s seriousness, noting that even long-neglected issues such as the Nithi Bridge are now being addressed.
He added that it would be unwise for residents to fall for what he described as “politics without solutions.”
“The President has shown commitment. He deserves to serve two terms so he can complete what he has started.
We cannot let misleading voices distract us from this path,” he said.
He also assured the people of Meru that no county in the region or beyond would be left out of the government’s development agenda.
“I am determined to ensure the President gets respect and support here.
We have seen the results, and we know what is coming. That is why we stand together as a region,” Kindiki concluded.
