Detectives in Narok County are investigating a chilling double murder after the bodies of two women were discovered inside a rental house in Ololunga.
The shocking incident happened on the morning of September 7, 2025, leaving residents in disbelief.
According to police reports, one of the victims, identified as Rachael Njoki, 26, was found strangled on the floor of the room.
The second woman, whose identity was not immediately confirmed, lay lifeless on the bed with deep stab wounds to her chest and stomach.
Her body was discovered in a pool of blood, raising suspicion of a violent struggle before her death.
The discovery was made by the landlady of the building, who had gone to check on her tenants after they failed to respond to her calls.
She knocked several times, but when no one answered, she pushed the door open—only to be met with the horrifying scene.
Police officers who arrived at the house recovered a bloodstained kitchen knife believed to have been the murder weapon.
Soon after, they arrested Njoki’s boyfriend, who is now the prime suspect in the killings. Investigators believe he may have acted alone, though the motive behind the attack remains unclear.
“The suspect is in custody as we continue with investigations,” a police officer at the scene said. The bodies were moved to the Narok County mortuary for postmortem examinations.
The gruesome killings sparked fear and anger among locals, many of whom gathered outside the rental house as news spread.
Some residents expressed concern about the rising number of violent crimes targeting women in the area and called for stricter safety measures.
