Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has issued a stern warning to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula that they face expulsion from the Kenya Kwanza government.
Speaking on Sunday, August 17, 2025, the vocal politician warned the duo that they are politically dependent on President William Ruto and that their positions are only at his mercy.
Furthermore, Natembeya suggested that both leaders were relying on Ruto's goodwill because their political strength is built on government appointments rather than independent support bases.
"Wetangula is employed by Ruto; he has a payslip. Mudavadi is employed by Ruto and has a payslip. If Ruto decides to fire them today, they will go home, and no one will complain," he added.
Nevertheless, Mr Natembeya warned Mudavadi and Wetangula, urging them to join together with others to built a strong political foundation, noting that their continued dependence on President William Ruto has made the two leaders vulnerable because their power was borrowed rather than based on solid political ideologies.
