Ruto Tosha Moment Looms As ODM Insiders Alleges What Raila Could Be Planning Before Exiting Politics

National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee chairman Sam Atandi has hinted at the possibility of a “Ruto Tosha” endorsement, saying the ODM–UDA political alliance could help the President secure a second term in the upcoming presidential elections.

Speaking at Gem, Yala, Siaya county, the Alego Usonga MP stated that the two parties would work together to support President Ruto’s second-term bid.

“We owe President Ruto a debt of gratitude; he stood with Raila Odinga in the 2007 election. Raila became Prime Minister.” he said.

This comes after Mr. Odinga dismissed ongoing speculation about the possibility of President Ruto winning a second term, insisting that it is the people who decide through the ballot.

“It is not about one term or two terms. The real question is: who decides? It is the people with the power, through the vote,” he said.

He emphasized that election outcomes depend on performance, not political slogans or threats, while affirming his commitment to implementing the UDA–ODM agreement.

“You can get one term, two terms, or even half a term. Ultimately, it is the people who decide through the election.” he added.
