“Kumbe?”: DCI Reveals the Time Susan Njoki Was Murdered and Why Killers Did It Around that Time

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have now confirmed the exact time Susan Njoki was murdered inside Chiromo Hospital Group in Nairobi.

Njoki, a nurse and founder of ToTo Touch, died between 12:30 PM and 1 PM on July 15.

The DCI reports show that the killers struck just before 1 PM, a period when hospital staff and patients were away for lunch. This timing is believed to have given the attackers a window to act without being noticed.

Susan Njoki had been admitted to the mental health facility on July 14 after being picked from her Kileleshwa home. She was found dead in less than 24 hours after her admission.

A postmortem revealed that Susan had been strangled, ruling out natural causes. Investigators believe the murder was well-planned and timed to occur when there would be fewer people around her.

Police officers drawn from Dagoretti and Kabete Police Stations have already questioned hospital employees involved in her transportation and care. Surveillance footage was also collected to help piece together her final movements.

Sources close to the investigation suggest that the killers may have taken advantage of routine gaps during meal breaks. Detectives are using time-stamped records and CCTV to narrow down suspects who were near her during that period.

The investigation is ongoing, with detectives treating her death as a targeted murder. The hospital management has pledged to support the investigation and improve safety for all patients.

Njoki’s family is calling for justice and demanding answers about how she was left vulnerable. They want those responsible for her death held accountable in a court of law.
