Speaking on Ramogi FM, Karua made it clear that she believes it’s time for Raila to return the political support she gave him in the last elections.
“I supported him when he needed me. Now it’s time for him to do the same,” Karua said.
Karua expressed disappointment in Raila’s decision to work with President Ruto, saying it had betrayed the hopes of revolutionary-minded Kenyan youths.
She said she once admired Raila for being firm and standing against government injustices, but that has changed.
“Raila used to be bold and principled. Now he has relaxed and supports a regime that continues to hurt the youth,” she said.
The PLP leader said she lost connection with the ODM party boss the moment he decided to cooperate with the Kenya Kwanza government.
Karua emphasized that she will only consider working with Raila if he ends his alliance with Ruto and supports her run for president.
Karua also spoke strongly about the 2027 general elections, promising that the opposition will not be caught off guard.
She said the opposition will run a parallel tallying center and will not let the government manipulate the outcome.
“We will not allow them to rig this election. Even if Ruto becomes the chairperson of IEBC, we will be ready,” she said boldly.
Karua revealed that the opposition, which she called the “United Opposition,” is already working on plans to ensure free and fair elections.
She added that the team would also create a separate electoral body to independently monitor the polls.
Karua ended her remarks by urging all Kenyans to stay alert and uphold integrity during the election season.
“Let us not be fooled again. The only way to remove this regime is through vigilance,” she said.
