Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has criticised the United Opposition principals led by Rigathi Gachagua and Kalonzo Musyoka, describing their campaign against President William Ruto as weak and inconsistent.
The ODM lawmaker faulted the opposition’s strategy, arguing that holding a few rallies and then going silent for days cannot effectively challenge the sitting president.
According to Amisi, removing Ruto from power requires sustained momentum, energy, and consistent engagement with voters across the country. He warned that the opposition risks losing the election if it fails to change its current approach.
Amisi further challenged the opposition leaders to traverse the entire country in search of votes ahead of the next general election instead of holding occasional political events.
“To remove Ruto, one needs energy. You are supposed to hold several rallies in one day. But if you come, do three rallies and then rest for a whole week in the US, only to return for one press conference before leaving again, you cannot remove Ruto like that,” Amisi stated.
Amisi is allied to Linda Mwanachi camp which is part of ODM faction opposing President William Ruto.
