Drama As ODM MP Attacks Orengo While At His Backyard

MP Elisha Odhiambo has strongly criticized Siaya Governor James Orengo, saying he has failed to deliver development to the people.

Speaking today during a rally in Yala that was attended by President William Ruto, Odhiambo said residents are not happy with the county leadership.

He claimed that many projects have stalled and promised that voters will remove the governor in the 2027 General Election.

The MP said Siaya needs better leadership and leaders who can bring real change. He told the crowd that it is time for leaders to be held accountable for their work.

His remarks come at a time when ODM party leaders are divided on whether to support President Ruto or not.

A group of leaders led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Governor Orengo, and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino have said they will not support any move by the party to work with Ruto’s government.

However, Odhiambo appeared to take a different stand by attending the rally and speaking in support of working together with the government.

This shows that there is growing disagreement within ODM. Some leaders want to stay in the opposition, while others are open to working with the government.

Political observers say these divisions could weaken the party if they are not solved early. As 2027 approaches, ODM leaders will need to agree and speak with one voice to remain strong.
