In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kalonzo said he will pursue all legal avenues to ensure his rightful leadership is gazetted.
He affirmed that when State House can arbitrarily stop the publication of legally constituted political party leadership, it's not just AZIMIO under attack, it's Kenya's multiparty democracy itself, adding that President Ruto has consistently undermined opposition parties and coalitions.
According to Kalonzo, this is yet another example of using state machinery to weaken political competition rather than competing on ideas and track record.
MP Junet, who responded on X (formerly Twitter), said Azimio has a legal document deposited with ORPP.
The MP alleged that Kalonzo decided not to follow the provisions of the document to do the changes he purported to have done, adding that he should stop blaming other people and follow the right procedure as enshrined in their Azimio deed of agreement.
According to MP Junet, it's the document that took Kalonzo Musyoka nine hours of persuasion to sign the day the coalition was formed.
