Video capturing the moment Johana Ng'eno before a helicopter crash shortly after takeoff en route to Endebess has been revealed.
The footage, which has been widely shared on social media, shows the Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament in high spirits inside the helicopter moments before the tragic incident.
According to sources, the aircraft had just taken off and was heading toward Endebess in Trans Nzoia County when it reportedly encountered problems.
In the short video clip shared online minutes ago, the MP appears relaxed and cheerful as he interacts with people seated inside the helicopter.
He is seen smiling and speaking confidently, suggesting that he was in a positive mood at the time.
The video was recorded shortly after he had addressed residents at Mara Rianta, where he had attended a local engagement.
Witnesses said the legislator had just concluded his meeting with residents, where he discussed development matters and listened to concerns from members of the public. After the meeting, he boarded the helicopter to continue his journey to Endebess.
Authorities have not yet released full details about what caused the helicopter to crash.
However, early reports indicate that the aircraft experienced difficulties shortly after takeoff.
Emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the scene following reports of the incident.
