New Twist As Wife Alleges What Transpired Before Kakamega Homeboyz FC Defender Was Murdered

New details have emerged following the death of Homeboyz Defender Silas Abungana, who was allegedly killed by his younger brother on February 4, 2026, at their home in Kakamega.

His wife, Melvin, said they were attacked by the brother of the deceased after a misunderstanding.

She dismissed her in-laws' allegations that she sought help from the suspects before the attack.

According to Melvin, Silas went to inquire why they did not help her, and the issue got out of hand because Silas stopped supporting the family financially in December 2025, aiming to save money to build a house.

"The parents are lying... They have had a misunderstanding for some time because Silas stopped supporting his parents financially. He wanted to save money for a house. That's why the misunderstanding got out of hand... After hitting and leaving Silas on the ground, he threatened to hit me with an axe. I wanted to help him, but I couldn't; I'm pregnant and I need help," Melvin said.

The deceased was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His body was moved to Kakamega Hospital morgue pending autopsy and other procedures.

Police are searching for the suspect, who fled the scene after learning about his death.
